About the role
We are looking for an experienced Truck Sales Executive to join a busy commercial vehicle sales operation in Huddersfield. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Truck Sales Executive with a strong background in truck or commercial vehicle sales to build relationships with new and existing customers while driving sales and profitability.
As a Truck Sales Executive, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing existing customer relationships and identifying opportunities to increase sales. The role will suit a confident and commercially focused Truck Sales Executive who can communicate effectively and provide a high level of customer service.
You will also be involved in sales promotions, marketing activities and events, helping to raise awareness and generate new business. Previous truck sales experience is essential, while DAF experience would be advantageous.
Key responsibilities
• Generate truck sales and maximise profitability
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Identify and develop new business opportunities
• Provide customers with a professional and knowledgeable sales service
• Participate in marketing and sales promotion activities
• Attend relevant sales events and promotional activities
• Maintain accurate records and ensure attention to detail throughout the sales process
• Work towards agreed sales and commercial targets
Skills and experience required
Essential:
• Previous truck sales experience is essential
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• A commercially focused approach with the ability to identify sales opportunities
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
Desirable:
• Previous DAF experience
• HGV driving licence
