What the Role Involves

Tyre Fitting and Replacement:

• Attending customer locations including fleet depots, company car parks, private addresses, roadside lay-bys and commercial premises, removing defective or worn tyres and fitting replacement tyres of the correct specification, size and load and speed rating for the vehicle
• Carrying out wheel balancing using portable balancing equipment, fitting balance weights to the correct position on the wheel and verifying the balance result meets specification before refitting the wheel to the vehicle
• Resetting tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensors after tyre replacement where the vehicle is fitted with TPMS, using the appropriate TPMS tool for the vehicle make and confirming system function before completing the job
• Fitting valve stems, valve extensions and any associated valve hardware correctly for the tyre and rim configuration, inflating tyres to the correct pressure for the vehicle load and application and checking all tyres on the vehicle at each visit to identify any additional issues for the customer's attention
