What the Role Involves

Routine and Preventive Maintenance:

• Carrying out manufacturer-scheduled service inspections on rigid and articulated trucks, trailers and ancillary equipment to the OEM's service specification, completing all required items and signing off the job card and electronic service record accurately
• Conducting DVSA safety inspections where the technician holds the relevant AVE authorisation, completing inspection documentation to the standard required by the operator's DVSA-recognised maintenance system
• Inspecting, adjusting and replacing brake system components including brake chambers, slack adjusters, drums, linings, discs, pads and air braking circuit components to the required specification

Diagnostic and Technical Work:

• Diagnosing faults across mechanical, electrical, electronic and software systems using manufacturer diagnostic platforms, oscilloscopes, multimeters and associated diagnostic tooling, identifying root cause accurately and efficiently and selecting the correct repair strategy
