Workshop Controller – Oldham

£35,000–£45,000+ OTE | Monday to Friday | No Weekends

We are recruiting for an experienced Workshop Controller to join an established automotive dealership in the Oldham area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong individual who enjoys combining hands-on vehicle work with the responsibility of overseeing a busy workshop.

The position offers a 50/50 split between productive technician duties and workshop control, making it particularly suited to an experienced Senior Technician, Diagnostic Technician or existing Workshop Controller looking for their next opportunity.

The Role

• Coordinate daily workshop activity to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.

• Allocate and monitor work across the workshop.

• Carry out hands-on diagnostic, servicing and repair work as required.

• Support technicians with technical issues and maintain productivity.

• Liaise with the service department to ensure jobs progress smoothly.

• Maintain high standards of workmanship, efficiency and customer service.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician or Diagnostic Technician within the motor trade.

• Strong technical and diagnostic knowledge.

• Relevant automotive qualifications, ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

• The ability to manage workshop priorities while remaining productive.

• A practical, hands-on approach with a commitment to quality.

Salary & Benefits

• £35,000–£45,000+ OTE.

• Monday to Friday working hours.

• No weekend working.

• Approximately 50% productive and 50% workshop control responsibilities.
