Vehicle Paint Technician
Location: Rochdale
Salary: £21-£23 per hour | Up to £59,800 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications, with a salary increase available following successful completion of probation
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Painter to join a busy automotive accident repair centre in Rochdale.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced painter who takes pride in producing high-quality finishes and is looking to work within a professional, modern repair environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing vehicles and panels ready for the painting process.
- Carrying out masking, priming and preparation work.
- Mixing and applying automotive paints and finishes.
- Accurately matching colours to the existing vehicle finish.
- Applying paint correctly to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish.
- Inspecting completed work and carrying out polishing and finishing where required.
- Ensuring all work is completed within agreed timescales.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Using appropriate PPE and respiratory protective equipment.
- Working closely with the wider bodyshop team to ensure vehicles move through the repair process efficiently.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship while working to productivity and quality targets.
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Painter / Paint Sprayer within an automotive repair environment.
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle paint processes and techniques.
- Experience with preparation, masking, priming and colour matching.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
- Ability to produce a high-quality finish consistently.
- Comfortable working to deadlines and productivity targets.
- Able to manage a busy workload while maintaining quality.
- Strong team-working skills and a positive attitude.
- Relevant industry qualifications are desirable.
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
