Vehicle Service Technician
Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 + efficiency bonus
Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5:30pm)
Location: Solihull
We are currently recruiting for a motivated and skilled Service Technician to join a well established, automotive dealership group based in Solihull. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business that invests in its people.
Working in a modern workshop environment, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles while delivering exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Completing Vehicle Health Checks and accurately recording findings.
- Identifying additional repair work and communicating recommendations to the management team.
- Carrying out road tests where appropriate.
- Working closely with the Parts and Service departments to ensure repairs are completed efficiently.
- Maintaining accurate repair documentation, including fault diagnosis and rectification.
- Keeping up to date with manufacturer training and technical bulletins.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop while following all health and safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Service Technician, Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician.
- Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair as a minimum (Level 3 desirable).
- MOT Tester licence preferred, but not essential.
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
- Previous franchised dealership experience is advantageous.
- A strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently and consistently to high standards.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding customer satisfaction.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
