About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Bus Shunter Fueller to join a busy depot in Guildford. This Bus Shunter Fueller position plays a key role in ensuring that buses are safely moved, correctly parked, and prepared for daily operations. As a Bus Shunter Fueller, you will be responsible for maintaining an organised depot environment, ensuring all vehicles are fuelled and positioned efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bus Shunter Fueller or someone with a PSV licence looking to build a long term career in a stable, permanent role. The Bus Shunter Fueller role requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently during evening shifts.
Key responsibilities
• Safely shunt buses around the depot as a Bus Shunter Fueller
• Park buses in designated areas ensuring efficient use of space
• Fuel buses in line with operational requirements
• Carry out basic vehicle checks before and after movement
• Maintain a clean and organised depot environment
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
Skills and experience required
Essential
• Valid PSV licence required for the Bus Shunter Fueller role
• Ability to safely manoeuvre large vehicles in a depot setting
• Strong awareness of health and safety practices
• Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic
Desirable
• Previous experience working as a Bus Shunter Fueller
• Experience shunting or moving buses within a depot environment
