The Role – Paint Technician Responsibilities:
As a Paint Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing vehicles and panels for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming
- Mixing paints and materials accurately to manufacturer specifications as a skilled Paint Technician
- Applying paint finishes using spray equipment to a high-quality, factory-standard finish
- Carrying out colour matching and blending to ensure seamless repairs
- Rectifying paint defects such as runs, sags, and inclusions
- Ensuring all paintwork meets quality control and manufacturer standards expected of a professional Paint Technician
- Maintaining a clean and safe paint booth and working environment
- Completing job cards and repair documentation accurately
- Working closely with MET technicians and panel technicians to deliver completed vehicles on time
Who We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Paint Technician
- Strong knowledge of water-based and solvent-based paint systems
- Ability to work independently and to deadlines
- ATA accreditation or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
