Supporting Men’s Mental Health in Automotive

Why Venatu Proudly Partners with Andy’s Man Club

The automotive sector is fast paced, high pressure, and overwhelmingly male dominated, a combination that often leaves little room for open conversations about mental health. Behind busy workshops and tight deadlines are people carrying real pressures, many of whom never feel able to speak up.

At Venatu, we believe supporting mental health is just as important as improving productivity or recruiting top technical talent. That is why we are incredibly proud to support Andy’s Man Club, AMC, as our Charity of the Year.

This partnership is not symbolic. It reflects our commitment to driving awareness, supporting employers, and helping more men feel able to talk before reaching crisis point.

A Powerful Moment at Our HR Networking Event

At our recent HR Networking Event, we invited Andy’s Man Club to deliver a session on men’s mental health and it became one of the most impactful moments of the morning.

Their presentation was:

  • Raw
  • Emotional
  • Honest
  • Deeply relevant to automotive workplaces

For many HR and operational leaders in the room, it prompted a moment of pause and reflection. Men in the automotive industry often work long hours, manage heavy workloads, and operate in cultures where vulnerability has traditionally been seen as weakness. Andy’s Man Club challenged that mindset directly.

The room left with one clear message:

Talking saves lives, and employers play a crucial role in creating environments where men feel able to open up.

Why Men’s Mental Health Matters in Automotive

The automotive sector faces unique wellbeing challenges:

  • High physical and mental demands
  • Performance pressures
  • Long shifts
  • Predominantly male teams
  • A get on with it workplace culture
  • Limited time or space for meaningful conversations

Too often, men internalise stress until it becomes overwhelming. Andy’s Man Club exists to change that, offering a safe, free, confidential space for men to talk openly, without judgement.

This aligns perfectly with Venatu’s values and our mission to support the people who keep this industry moving.

Why Venatu Chose Andy’s Man Club as Our Charity of the Year

Our partnership with Andy’s Man Club is rooted in action, not just awareness.

By supporting Andy’s Man Club throughout the year, Venatu aims to:

✔ Amplify awareness across automotive workplaces
Many employees still do not know Andy’s Man Club exists, and we want to change that.

✔ Help clients strengthen men’s mental health within their wellbeing strategies
Too many wellbeing frameworks overlook men or rely on generic support that fails to address male specific barriers.

✔ Promote Andy’s Man Club’s free, nationwide peer support groups
These groups genuinely change lives and save lives.

✔ Encourage conversations that normalise vulnerability
Especially in practical, high pressure environments where talking is often the hardest step.

Is There a Gap in Your Wellbeing Strategy?

We encourage all our automotive clients to pause and ask:

Does your current wellbeing strategy meaningfully support men’s mental health?
Do your male employees know where to turn if they are struggling?
Have you considered how peer support could strengthen your overall approach to wellbeing?

If the answer is no, yes but not enough, or even we are not sure, then there is an opportunity to close that gap.

And Andy’s Man Club is a powerful place to start.

Let’s Change the Conversation Together

Men’s mental health is not a nice to have, it is essential.

By partnering with Andy’s Man Club and encouraging employers to review their wellbeing strategies, we want to help ensure no one in the automotive sector suffers in silence.

It is okay to talk.
And together, we can make sure every man knows that.
