Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

The Role
As Breakdown Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and cost-effective running of the company’s breakdown function. Acting as the first point of contact for vehicle breakdowns, you’ll coordinate responses, provide real-time solutions, and keep downtime to a minimum.
You will work closely with suppliers, engineers, and internal teams, while also delivering excellent customer service through regular updates and clear communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling breakdown calls and coordinating solutions with suppliers and engineering support
- Keeping customers informed about repair progress via phone and email
- Ensuring downtime is minimised and escalating issues where necessary
- Raising purchase orders, processing recharges, and assisting accounts with billing queries
- Liaising with finance, workshop, and sales teams to ensure smooth communication
- Maintaining accurate records through the internal system (Syrinx)
- Upholding professional, courteous communication with customers and partners
About You
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Previous customer service experience essential
- Vehicle knowledge desirable but not essential
- Ability to work well under pressure and resolve problems quickly
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
